The Up Fronts for the main five networks start tomorrow, and here’s a look where we stand, starting with FOX. Stay tuned Monday for their official fall schedule. In the meantime, here is what we know going into the big week – First things first, let’s get some renewals out of the way – BONES has been renewed (after what seems like forever), and not just for season 5, but season 6! LIE TO ME is coming back for season
As is always the case on Friday night before the Up Fronts, lots of news of renewals are coming out of LA – First up, and most shocking to me, not because I hate the show anymore, but because I didn’t think the viewership was there – there’s a rumored Season 2 pickup coming for DOLLHOUSE! Along with the renewal comes some serious cost cutting, according to network sources. It should be an interesting Monday when FOX has it’s announcement!
Some Fall news that I’m super excited about (because I love me some Tim Roth) – FOX has officially picked up LIE TO ME for a Season 2. Shawn Ryan, from THE SHIELD and THE UNIT, steps up from Executive Producter to Showrunner (which leads me to believe that THE UNIT is done).
I’m so excited this morning – why? Because after a weekend away that featured next to no TV-related business, I come back to find out that my favorite pilot I’ve read so far was picked up for series by ABC.
