Quick Take: Jadyn Wong gives a quick look into S2 of SCORPION
SCORPION’s Jadyn Wong has a busy schedule while she films season 2, so any chance to ask her a few questions about the show, I’ll take them! She and I had a chance to swap some stories back and forth over the weekend about what is coming next for this season of the show, what she hopes to see, and what she does in her downtime! Take a quick look at what she had to say and be sure to tune in to an all new episode at 9/8c tonight!
Talk about coming back for Season 2 and what it was like after a successful Season 1 – has anything changed on set?
It is great coming back and being a part of something where a lot of people are excited about the characters, and are interested in what we are creating in this little bubble of ours. The process and approach is more familiar. And we have grown stronger (cast and crew) as a professional family.
What will we see for Happy this season? More time with her dad?
I think in general, the subtle changes in behavior and attitude whether conscious or unconscious from the impact of Paige, Cabe, and Ralph being a huge part of her life, further exploration of relationships with the other members of Team Scorpion, and the action for Happy has been elevated this season.
What about with Toby – are they going to try to make it work?
Happy’s relationship with Toby will definitely reach different levels. However, it is a complicated relationship, and it will be interesting to see what the writers do with them.
What would you like to see happen as the show continues?
For me, I am interested in exploring cause and effect with the characters. Growth, including the aspiration and conflict of whatever drives them is interesting to me.
Is there someone who you’d like to have more screen time with / someone you haven’t worked with in a while?
Other than Toby, I would love to see and explore the dynamics between Happy and the other members in isolation of the team.
What can you tease about upcoming storylines?
Happy has a secret.
Any guest stars to look for?
There are a few fresh faces that bring a real unique energy to the mix, including Kevin Weisman, Alana De Le Garza, and Peri Gilpin.
What shows do you get a chance to watch when you have some downtime?
I try to catch a film or a play on my downtime, but I am a huge fan of Orphan Black.
SCORPION airs at 9/8c on CBS. Tonight’s all new episode description: “An explosion sends a top-secret submarine to the bottom of the ocean with limited oxygen, a self-destruct function that’s about to activate, and Walter, Cabe and Happy on board.” Check it out!
