Mary-Margaret Humes talks tough parenting in THE GIRL HE MET ONLINE

Mary-Margaret Humes (Dawson’s Creek) initially turned down the role of Agatha Casey in The Girl He Met Online, saying she’d played the part before.  Then, she read the script. Unexpected Role When I recently spoke with Humes, she told me how she came to accept the role she very nearly abandoned.  “When Peter Davis (Executive Producer/Showrunner) asked me to do the role, I thought, ‘I’ve played so many moms.’  So, I said I’d wait for something else.  Then, they sent

You’ve seen the ads.  “CBS Cares.”  On December 15, 2013, the network proved just that when some of its stars were on hand for a radio-thon to aid the Philippines’ typhoon victims by raising money for food, clean water, and supplies. A Need Met Clear Channel Media’s VP and General Manager, Chuck Cotton, organized an outdoor concert at the Hilton Hawaiian Village and called it “Kokua (help) for the Philippines.”  Though many local celebrities were set to perform, on the

HAWAII FIVE-0 is getting the fans involved!

Hawaii Five-0 loves getting its fans involved!  Just last season, fans of the series had the opportunity to vote on one of three endings for Episode 12, Season Three, “Kapu” (Forbidden).  It marked the first time ever that a primetime drama allowed its fans to choose an ending to be broadcast in real time. The Future Becomes the Present – PJ Byrne previews INTELLIGENCE from CBS

CBS’ new series, Intelligence, offers a look at the world through the eyes – or brain – of cyber hero Gabriel Vaughn (Lost’s Josh Holloway).  Vaughn is implanted with a computer chip designed by the super intelligent Dr. Shenendoah Cassidy (John Billingsley).  Though super smart himself, Cassidy’s son, Nelson (P.J. Byrne), cannot compete with this new superhuman government hero and watches jealously from the sidelines as Vaughn and his father become closer and closer. I recently spoke with Byrne to

Having a Very Scary Christmastime with GRIMM’s David Giuntoli

David Giuntoli loves being a Grimm.  Period.  He absolutely loves it.  And by now, the third season into the series, he has settled into his character, saying, “I feel like I live inside the character now.  I just get it.  I know where he’s coming from.  It’s the beauty of having a television show that’s running.  You don’t even have to try any more.  You just kind of know how he would react to a certain situation.  You probably can’t

Historically Accurate To Have and to Hold follows the closely historically-accurate adventures of the settlement of Jamestown, Virginia in 1607.  Aiden Turner (Captain Miles Cambridge) recently spoke with me about his project. “When I initially read the script,” he said, “I really enjoyed the dialogue.  It seemed like an enjoyable project.  It was a good read and had

Straight Talk from Bruno Heller and Simon Baker on Red John and THE MENTALIST

“Patrick Jane finally comes face-to-face with Red John, the serial killer he’s tracked since the madman murdered his wife and daughter.”  So reads the episode logline for Season Six, episode eight of The Mentalist at cbs.com – and the guessing game begins. What will happen?  Who is Red John?  After all, Jane has had five seasons to find him.  Bruno Heller, Executive Producer, and series star Simon Baker held a telephone press conference this week to talk about the upcoming

ENTOURAGE’s Jordan Belfi talks SNOW BRIDE and the theatre

After you’ve feasted on Thanksgiving turkey, counting down the shopping days ‘til Christmas, you might want to surf on over to the Hallmark channel and check out Snow Bride. Snow Bride is one of the Hallmark Channel’s original programs airing on the Countdown to Christmas specials, and one of it stars, Jordan Belfi (Entourage, Moonlight), was kind enough to take time between auditions to chat with me about that show as well as a few other projects. Sweet Story The

Just  prior to being cast in the role of Lt.
