Mat Vairo Relates the Challenges of Playing REVOLUTION’s Connor

Up-and-comer Mat Vairo loves playing the quintessential “bad boy,” Connor Bennett, on Revolution. When we spoke recently about his role on the futuristic series, he admitted, “I like Connor’s dark side.” Connor, the Rebel The son of Sebastian “Bass” Monroe (David Lyons), Connor has perhaps had to do a bit of growing on his own, despite being raised by his late aunt and uncle.  And, even though he’s now found his father, the two have had quite a tumultuous relationship.

NBC Renews PARENTHOOD and 4 other dramas

NBC has officially renewed 5 of their drama series for their next seasons with 22 episodes each – established dramas GRIMM, LAW & ORDER: SVU, and PARENTHOOD, along with freshman series CHICAGO FIRE (which I love more with each episode) and REVOLUTION (which has seen some ratings dips since returning from a long hiatus, but that doesn’t seem to have affected NBC’s affinity for the show). Jennifer Salke, president of NBC Entertainment, had this to say: “On the verge of

CourtneyK to REVOLUTION: Let’s have a talk, shall we?

As much as I enjoy a good Lord of the Flies themed episode, I’ve got some major issues with last night’s foray into the bleak future. On the upside, having the Children of the Corn and hairless Ewoks jokes? HILARIOUS! Mama saying “Bass? Please stop” so mildly. Ridiculous. I’m liking her less and less. While I understand her need to save herself and her son, I just don’t care for her. No sympathy from me. She’s slipping further and further

A REVOLUTION Rundown!

Since we have a night off from the excitement of REVOLUTION, Courtney K is checking in with where we stand so far: The post-electric-apocalyptic drama REVOLUTION is powering ahead and getting stronger!  With last week’s major revelations and a two week hiatus, I figured now would be a good time to run some of the information down and see what we’ve got. Let’s begin, shall we? Pendants of Power (or PoP’s). There are 12. That’s more than I thought! Granted,

REVOLUTION: I’d Better Take Up Archery

This year at San Diego Comic Con, there was no shortage of SWAG featuring a power button symbol and ominous looking portraits of people looking into the distance. Cheesy? Yes. Effective? Yet to be determined. I didn’t make to pilot screening or the Q & A.  And I was really sad about it, because with all the promotion, I was really curious. So when the pilot became available, I jumped at the chance to watch it. I was not disappointed!

CourtneyK ponders “It’s the End of the World as We Know It….”

…and I feel fine…but hey. Speak in hushed tones, don’t shout, don’t look, don’t wig out man. But I think the end of the Reality TV reign may be coming to an end. (HOORAY!!) There’s light at the end of this Trend Tunnel; but is it hope or is it Apocalypse? Let’s take a look. Slowly but surely, reality shows are losing viewers. Audiences are looking for content again; I can’t tell you how happy that makes me! Don’t get
