Say hello to our new contributor!

Welcome to what I hope will become a weekly or more than weekly column from fellow TV fan and Toronto native Alexis.  In today’s entry, Alexis talks about her favorite shows and why she thinks you should check them out! Be sure to follow her on twitter (@wompwompwomp) and leave some feedback for her!! I’m Alexis McLaren and I hail from the land of Toronto. What are my favorite shows? Well as I told Amrie, TV shows are like my

My Take On THE GOOD GUYS on FOX

A funny thing happened to me about a year ago.  I decided to watch a little show that I had never watched when it was live and airing.  I decided to watch THE WEST WING.  And I fell head over heels in love with Bradley Whitford.  About that same time, I was smitten with Matt Nix, creator of BURN NOTICE, because I just think he’s a genius.  And Colin Hanks?  I think he’s on his way to becoming just like

My Take On the HOUSE Season Finale

HOUSE has gone through a lot of changes over the years – House himself was a drug addict.  Now he’s not.  Chase, Cameron, and Foreman were the three underlings.  Now they’re not.  13, Taub, and Kutner were the three underlings.  Now they’re not.  But there are things that haven’t changed since day one of the show – Wilson is House’s best friend and Cuddy has been the woman of his dreams (spoken or not) since an ill-fated hookup in medical

MY TAKE…on Thursday TV

There wasn’t a whole lot of TV to watch last night (I know in my house, we had way too many basketball games on), but what we did watch was certainly entertaining! Let’s start with FLASH FORWARD, shall we?   If you remember from yesterday’s interview with Joseph Fiennes and Dominic Monaghan, I was really excited for the Spring premiere of the show.  The boys weren’t lying when they said that the wheels have really come off the roller coaster now!

WHITE COLLAR Cliffhanger resolves tonight!

What are you up to tonight?  After you check out tonight’s all new BETTER OFF TED on ABC, flip  on over to USA and tune into the season premiere of WHITE COLLAR.  When we last left Neal and company, Peter was saying hello to a surprised Kate, and wearing the ring.  You know, THE RING that is in the most important picture of Kate that Neal has ever seen.  The episode resolves the cliffhanger over the course of the hour,

What's On? Wednesday, 1/13/10

Lots of new episodes to check out tonight – what are you watching? The 8:00 Hour – ABC airs a rerun of MODERN FAMILY and an all new episode of THE MIDDLE – up first, the episode with the BBQ at Jay and Gloria’s, after Manny and Luke get in a fight at school.  On THE MIDDLE, Brick runs for class historian, and Mike finds dinosaur bones at the quarry.  Over on CBS, check out an all new episode of

WAREHOUSE 13 promo

WAREHOUSE 13 has quickly become one of my favorite summer shows, and I’m so glad that it’s been picked up for another (hopefully longer) season! Check out the clip from tonight’s all new episode, “Regrets.” Pete and Myka investigate a prison where “nightmares become all too real.” [vodpod id=Groupvideo.3330238&w=425&h=350&fv=]

September Premiere Date Calendar!

It struck me as I was flipping forward on the DVR yesterday that in just a few days, it’ll be time to start scheduling the madness of Fall TV into the DVRs that currently have too much stuff on them anyway!  In celebration of over-working my poor DVRs, I wanted to pass along the full downloadable premiere date calendar for September (October will be around before you know it; look for a breakdown of those dates in a few weeks)!

Check out CTRL on NBC.com!

A while back, I fell in love with a short film that Zachary Levi and Tony Hale were a part of called CTRL+Z.  The film, about a putupon cubicle occupant (Hale) who discovers the secret powers of his desktop computer keyboard, is hilarious, and won accolades from multpile film festivals for just how incredible it is.  Now, the folks involved, including Hale and Emi Coligado (as well as the creator Robert Kirbyson), have come together for an online series based on the

Emmy Hopes 2009 – Supporting Actor / Actress DRAMA

It’s Emmy time again!  This week is always so exciting as the last minute predictions make their way around the internets.  I just want to put it out there that I rarely agree with the Emmy voters on what’s funny and what I think is a dramatic performance worthy of accolades, but there are times when they’re right on the money.  Here’s what I’m thinking I would love to hear come Emmy award nominations, announced Thursday, July 16, by Chandra Wilson
