First Look: DETROIT 1-8-7 on ABC

DETROIT 1-8-7 is a cop drama set deep in the heart of, you guessed it, DETROIT.  Michael Imperioli heads up a great cast of actors you recognize from parts in just about everything.  The pilot looks gritty and dark, and Imperioli is tackling the homicide world as Detective Fitch, a disgruntled cop who loves his job nonetheless. Follow the jump for the trailer and a gallery of photos – both promotional and from the pilot!

Talking MODERN FAMILY with Sarah Hyland

You guys know how much I love MODERN FAMILY, right?  Tonight’s season finale is another fantastic episode that really sums up everything about the family that I love.  Every person gets their chance to shine as the first season comes to a close. A few weeks back, I had the chance to speak with Sarah Hyland, who plays the dim-witted Haley Dunphy, oldest child of Phil and Claire.  In real life, she’s got a great head on her shoulders, and

Pilot/Renewal Updates

UPDATED Thursday with links to CW’s schedule! As we head into the most infamous week in Network scheduling, the UpFront week, I, like many other bloggers, think now is the time to update everyone on where our favorite shows stand as of end of day yesterday. ABC has the interesting distinction of almost all of their new dramatic offerings this season being failures, so they’re looking to start fresh. Officially renewed: CASTLE, COUGARTOWN, THE MIDDLE, MODERN FAMILY, V, BROTHERS AND

First Look: ROOKIE BLUE on ABC

Who has been anxiously awaiting the return of Gregory Smith to our TV screens on the weekly?  I know I have!  So glad to share a few promo shots of him and the rest of his beautiful cast, lead by Missy Peregrym from REAPER (pictured above), for the new show ROOKIE BLUE which premiere June 24 at 9PM.  Jump for images!

A night of LOVE on ABC: THE MIDDLE, MODERN FAMILY, COUGARTOWN

After a special CHARLIE BROWN VALENTINE tonight on ABC, be sure that you check out three all new genius half hours of family comedy – Up first on THE MIDDLE, it’s Valentine’s Day and the Hecks are celebrating in style.  Axel’s got huge plans, Sue has her first boy/girl party, and Brick is invited to sleepover at the cat boy’s house!  I could not stop laughing throughout the whole episode, and it quickly elevated the show even higher on my

ABC cancels UGLY BETTY

In what should come as no surprise, based on the ratings beat down that the show took this season, ABC has officially canceled UGLY BETTY.  The show seemed to have a real creative resurgence this year, but even that couldn’t stave off an untimely death.  The good news, according to Ausiello, is that ABC and Silvio Horta have had talks, and though the show is being knocked down from 22 to 20 episodes, there will be a satisfying series finale.

A chat with David Cook about EXTREME MAKEOVER: HOME EDITION

Of all the AMERICAN IDOLs over the  years, I think I’m most partial to the Season 7 champ, David Cook, the down to earth rocker with the growl we know and love.  When I was given the chance to chat with him for a bit about his part in this weekend’s new episode of EXTREME MAKOVER: HOME EDITION, I jumped at the opportunity.  Sunday’s episode features the EM:HO team helping the Cowan-Brown family, a group of people that David holds

THE BACHELOR: On the Wings of Love

So tonight brings us an all new season (I think we’re up to 14) of THE BACHELOR.  The man at the center of the show is Jake Pavelka, a pilot who fell for Jillian last season, and was denied.  He came back to speak his mind to Jillian and help her see what she was dealing with, and now he’s in the hot seat.  Tonight, Jake meets 25 bachelorettes – I can already tell that some are totally crazy.  I

BETTER OFF TED is back – YOU MUST WATCH!

My favorite comedy from the 2008-2009 season was definitely BETTER OFF TED.  The genius story of a man named Ted who plays the no nonsense everyman, dealing with a team of crazy scientists, his adorable daughter, an attraction to a charming coworker, and a boss who scares everyone, delightfully!  I was so pleased to hear that it was getting a second season, and now, the wait is over!  Starting tonight, BETTER OFF TED airs new episodes at 9:30 on Tuesdays!
