My Take On…SINGLE PARENTS on ABC

Tonight after MODERN FAMILY, the latest ABC comedy, SINGLE PARENTS (from Liz Meriwether and JJ Philbin), premieres.  The show stars Taran Killam as Will Cooper, a single dad who becomes the room parents for his adorable daughter’s classroom. Though they initially hate him and his gung ho helicopter parenting, the rest of the room’s single parents (get it) welcome him into their group, and I’d imagine, antics will then ensue. Based on the trailers for the show, I was not

From the Set: One Chicago 2018

We recently had the opportunity to attend the all day celebration of NBC’s CHICAGO series (FIRE – entering S7, P.D. – entering S6, and MED – entering S4), and while we have a ton of goodies coming out in the next week, after our spoiler-y conversations with the cast from each show about what comes after tonight’s all #OneChicago premiere night, I wanted to be sure to share a little glimpse at life on set. Actors LaRoyce Hawkins and Marina

My Take on…FX’s MAYANS MC

“I say we trust until we don’t.” Richard Cabral’s character utters that phrase about 2/3 of the way into tonight’s sprawling premiere (the first episode runs 1 hr, 8 minutes without commercials) of Elgin James and Kurt Sutter’s latest chapter in the SoCal motorcycle club epic, MAYANS M.C.   As Sutter has mentioned in interviews, the show is set in a post-Jax-Teller-post-SAMCRO world, and the line above about trusting who you need to in the moment, until you might not trust

Which Brat-Packer is heading to RIVERDALE?

Who else is looking forward to the RIVERDALE episode that flashes back to a time when Fred, FP, Mary, and the gang were high school students who all shared some deep dark secrets?  What if I told you that on top of some already inspired casting (Marc Consuelos’ son Michael playing Hiram (just look at the picture below, and the picture of Michael here); the young cast playing the parents as high schoolers), they’re adding in a Brat Packer to really

First Look: ATYPICAL S2 Trailer

ATYPICAL was such a great surprise for me last year and I’ve been so excited for the upcoming new Season that deals with the fallout of the finale. Casey’s off to a new school, Doug and Elsa are dealing with her discretions, and Sam is just trying to figure it all out. Netflix released their trailer and key art today – Season 2 will be released Friday Sept 7. The official description from the streaming giant says: Atypical is a

Netflix Originals: Exciting Series to Keep an Eye Out For

The release model of Netflix is heavenly manna for TV series fans who love to binge-watch – after all, they release all their series all at once. This is great at times – you get to see the entire season at once, without having to wait for a week to know what happens next. It is bad, too, because you go through the series in no time, having to wait a year or two for it to return and give

Casting News: SUPERGIRL’s new VP

SUPERGIRL Season 4 will bring with it a familiar face as Brett Spiner is set to join the cast in a recurring role.  The well-known actor, whose 4-decades-long career includes many a stint as DATA in STAR TREK TV shows and films, will play the “adept and politically minded” Vice President Baker, who “makes for an unlikely leader, but steps up in a big way when his country needs him most.” We’ve seen lots of news coming out of the SUPERGIRL

WYNONNA EARP @ SDCC 2018: Tim Rozon talks Doc, Wynonna, and Alice

Marissa and I had the great chance to head down to San Diego last week to chat with the stars of our favorite shows – our first round table interview is a long chat we had with Tim Rozon and some friends at the WYNONNA EARP press room. Tim gave us some insight into season 3 about what Doc might be up to, where his mind is moving forward, working with Beau on new graphic novels, and the Wynonna

Julie Ann Emery promises an action-packed third season of PREACHER

Last week, PREACHER returned to AMC, and in my opinion, it hasn’t missed a beat. The better than ever third season shows no signs of slowing down and if what Julie Ann Emery told me about what’s coming is any indication?  We’re in for a bloody treat.   Check out our chat about what to expect from PREACHER this season and don’t miss all new episodes Sunday nights on AMC! Now that you’ve played Featherstone for a while, what are you
