First Look: New Josie & The Pussycats on RIVERDALE this week!
I was talking TV (as I do) with someone on the phone last night and the first show I brought up this week was RIVERDALE because I’m loving it so much. Was excited to get a sneak peek at their GREAT new Donna Summer cover (“I Feel Love”) – check it out (and did you notice that special guest Pussycat this week?):
WB tells us:
Josie McCoy is on the rise, and with the help of her Pussycats, Riverdale’s determined teen powerhouse has already delivered some unforgettable performances, including an updated cover of the iconic 1969 tune “Sugar, Sugar” at the town pep rally and an original recording of the song “All For Me.” Now, with Riverdale High’s annual variety show fast approaching, the stakes are raised when the power trio’s bond is threatened by Valerie’s burgeoning relationship with Archie, as she helps him write an original song for his first, on-stage performance, in the Thursday, March 2, episode of Riverdale, airing 9:00–10:00 p.m. ET/PT on The CW.
Series star Ashleigh Murray provides lead vocals on the Donna Summer hit “I Feel Love,” with help from her fellow Pussycats (guest stars Asha Bromfield as Melody and Hayley Law as Valerie) and Veronica (series star Camila Mendes), whose plans to perform with Archie are also derailed by Archie and Valerie’s collaboration. Donning signature cat-ears and matching animal-print attire, their performance is set to a synthesized backing track, paying homage to the original tune.
That’s not the only music we’re getting this week either, as Val’s work with Archie produces a catchy new original song – you can find that one here!
Are you on board the RIVERDALE train? And for the love, who killed Jason Blossom?!?
