Quick Take: HAVEN S5 kicks off tonight
HAVEN returns to Syfy tonight at 8/7c with an all new episode that picks up minutes after the finale that found Duke bleeding from his face holes, Jennifer possibly not breathing, William vanquished to another realm, Dave shot, Vince worried, and Nathan not exactly sure what comes next. And Audrey? Well, she’s not exactly Audrey these days, now is she?
What follows is an exciting premiere that has our gang trying to save Audrey from the Mara inhabiting her body and mind, all the while trying to keep secrets from each other about everything under the sun. The hour felt like it flew by and by the time I was at the cliffhanger of an ending, I was excited to see what comes next. It felt like the start to a year that promises to be more brutal before it gets better, and I hope that the tension of the premiere keeps up throughout!
One complaint, and really, it’s minor – stop using “Thinny” as a “cute” nickname for what appears to be a very dangerous thing.
