HAWAII FIVE-0 is getting the fans involved!
Hawaii Five-0 loves getting its fans involved! Just last season, fans of the series had the opportunity to vote on one of three endings for Episode 12, Season Three, “Kapu” (Forbidden). It marked the first time ever that a primetime drama allowed its fans to choose an ending to be broadcast in real time.
Upping the Ante
This season, producers are upping the ante, allowing fans to choose from a selection of wardrobe, props, titles, and music ideas for an upcoming episode of the CBS series, now in its fourth year.
In January, fans had the chance to vote on what Chin Ho Kelly (Daniel Dae Kim) and Kono Kalakaua (Grace Park) will wear in the mysterious, upcoming fan-based episode, whose airdate has yet to be announced. Viewers also had the opportunity to select the stiletto weapon of choice used as the murder weapon.
More to Come
And that’s not all. Next month (February 14-21), viewers will get to vote on their band of choice to be featured in the episode. (Names of bands to choose from will be announced at a later date).
Finally, in March (from the 7th through the 14th), winding down to cliffhanger time and the ever-popular Season Finale, fans get to decide the episode’s title. Choices at presstime include: “Po’ina ‘Ole” (Never Forgotten), “Ho’i Hou” (Reunited), “Pa’a i ke au” (Stuck in Time), “He ha’ina ‘ino” (Deadly Confession), and “Hua’i ‘ia” (Unearthed).
Revelation of Fate
Fan voting for the as-yet-to-be-announced episode has already selected Chin Ho’s high school reunion as the scene of the crime, a Macadamia Nut tycoon as the victim, a five-inch stiletto of some kind as the murder weapon, a toy rocket as the evidence, a struggling illusionist as a suspect, and a giant maze as the takedown location. Sounds like the beginnings of a very cool episode – and you can be part of it. Just go to http://www.cbs.com./H50vote and let your voice be heard.
History In the Making
Hawaii Five-0 airs on Fridays on CBS. It also stars Alex O’Loughlin (McGarrett), Scott Caan (Danny Williams), Michelle Borth (Catherine Rollins), and Masi Oka (Max Bergman). Chi McBride (Captain Grover) was recently added to the cast as a series regular. The series also made history this past week when it scored its highest rating of the season
