Tonight at 10/9c, a new hidden camera practical joke show where actors/comedians we know and love compete to win $10,000 for their favorite charities premieres on TBS, and I, for one, think it’s a show completely worth your time.  WHO GETS THE LAST LAUGH? (from the creative team behind MTV’s PUNK’d) is hosted by perennial favorite of MTOT, Donald Faison (Murray and Turk Turkleson forever, you guys!), who is charming and excited about every single thing he says and does.  The premise of the show is that three of his friends, actors/comedians, people you recognize and truly enjoy laughing at or with (Kunal Nayyar in ep 1, Cheri Oteri in ep 2, etc.), work with actors and a hidden camera crew to pull the most outrageous practical jokes on unsuspecting everyday citizens.  After the studio audience watches what happened in the actors’ adventures, they vote, and one winner is crowned and given $10,000 for a charity of their choosing.

In the first episode, Kunal Nayyar goes up against Bill Bellamy and comedian Jeff Dye in jokes that include routine traffic stops, porta-potty misfires, and thousands of dollars of missing cash.  Color me surprised that almost immediately, I found myself laughing out loud at what was happening on screen – both for the excitement with which the actors and comedians involved approach their jokes, and the sheer concern and fright on the faces of the marks.  I got through the first three episodes in what felt like record time, and I’m really looking forward to what comes next.  An incredibly fun way to pass some time, and definitely worth a look.
