5:15pm First award goes to Eric Stonestreet from MODERN FAMILY (outstanding supporting actor in a comedy series). Great acceptance speech!

5:20pm Louis CK takes home the outstanding writing for a Comedy Series.

5:26pm MODERN FAMILY is two for two in the Comedy Acting categories as Julie Bowen takes home the Supporting Actress and thanks nipple covers and ABC censors!

5:34pm Another win for Steve Levitan, as outstanding director for MODERN FAMILY (“Baby on Board”).

5:37pm MelissaMcCarthy killed this intro! First real laugh tonight! Lead Actor in a Comedy Series, kind of surprisingly, goes to Jon Cryer! Um, really?

5:44pm Stephen Colbert is great! The Lead Actress in a Comedy, deservedly, goes to Julia Louis-Dreyfus! She is so amazing in VEEP! Cannot wait for it to come back, and honestly, so glad Lena Dunham DIDN’T win!

Back in the press tent, Julie Bowen celebrated Julia Louis-Dreyfus’ win and talked more about her nipple covers!!

5:52pm Big win for THE AMAZING RACE in the competition reality series category – glad it continues to win, but I think they really need to pump up their casting for future seasons.

5:57pm Love the CPA gag with the BIG BANG folks!!

6:00pm As much as I wanted to see Cat Deeley take this award, I’d be lying if I didn’t admit that Tom Bergeron is a great host for DANCING WITH THE STARS – he can vamp like no other!!

6:04pm Supporting Actor in a Drama Series – the incomparable Aaron Paul for BREAKING BAD. I love times one thousand how surprised he is about this win. I love an impassioned speech more than anything!

6:15pm HUZZAH! Alex Gansa, Howard Gordon, Gideon Raff take home the Outstanding Writing in a Drama Series for HOMELAND (“Pilot”)! Incredible show, incredible writing.  Deserved!!

6:17pm Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama OBVIOUSLY goes to Dame Maggie Smith For DOWNTON ABBEY!

Backstage: Tom Bergeron clarifies that Maks Chmerkovsky says he was taken out of context and will be with DWTS through the end of his contract in 2013!

6:24pm Martha Plimpton and Jeremy Davies, guest actress and guest actor winners last week, present the Outstanding Directing in a Drama Series to Tim Van Patten from BOARDWALK EMPIRE.

6:27pm Juliana Margulies looks weird. Outstanding Actor in a Drama Series goes to Damian Lewis (HOMELAND)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So good; I love him and just WAIT until you see season 2 next weekend!!

6:36pm TIna Fey and Jon Hamm together = magic. Outstanding Actress in a Drama goes to Claire Danes! Having a little HOMELAND freak out right now!! So good!!

6:42pm Aziz Ansari’s British accent is delightful! Aw so is Jane Levy’s! Writing for a Variety Series goes to Louis CK – such a good night for him!! Love what he does!

Backstage, Damian Lewis has won the whole room over by being AWESOME!

6:51pm Ricky Gervais gives the Outstanding Variety Special Directing to Glenn Weiss, tonight’s telecast director!

7:05pm Steve Buscemi is here to present the Supporting Actress in a miniseries or movie. The winner is Jessica Lange, AMERICAN HORROR STORY. No surprise there!

7:13pm Kerry Washington is up next – she’s phenomenal in SCANDAL. Here to talk about Supporting Actor in a Miniseries or Movie – Tom Berenger takes it home for HATFIELDS & MCCOYS!

7:26pm The Velvet Sutherland and Lucy Liu are presenting Writing and Lead Actress for Movie/Miniseries. Writing goes to Danny Strong – just watched him today in the episode where he watches the penguin movie in Logan’s apartment (GILMORE GIRLS)!  Lead Actress goes to Julianne Moore in GAME CHANGE.

7:35pm ABC Sunday ladies giving out the award for Directing a miniseries/movie – CourtneyK is not happy that Jay Roach took this for GAME CHANGE instead of Paul for SHERLOCK.

7:38pm And now they’re FLYING through this Lead Actor Miniseries award – congrats to HATFIELD’S & MCCOYS Kevin Costner!

7:45pm Andre Braugher (one of the greatest) here to present outstanding Movie or Miniseries.  Unsurprisingly, GAME CHANGE takes the win!

7:47pm Emmy winner tonight, Julianne Moore is here to present Outstanding Drama Series – the winner is HOMELAND!!!!! It’s a GREAT night for my favorite show!!!!

7:55pm Here comes Michael J Fox to present the Outstanding Comedy Series award – the winner is MODERN FAMILY. Was very “meh” on this one. Again I say, at least it wasn’t GIRLS.
