IT’S ALWAYS SUNNY and THE LEAGUE return tonight on FX!
Make sure that you’re tuning in or setting your DVRs for tonight’s 1-2 punch of comedy on FX as Season 6 of IT’S ALWAYS SUNNY IN PHILADELPHIA kicks off before the S2 opener of THE LEAGUE.
IT’S ALWAYS SUNNY’s newest episode, called “Mac Fights Gay Marriage,” is as topical as it gets. When he runs into Carmen, and her new husband, at the gym, Mac sets off to defend traditional marriage, while Dennis and Dee decide to revisit the past, with disastrous results. Old married couple Frank and Charlie decide that maybe they should make it official, and another solid premiere of one of the best comedies on TV happens. I swear that these people get funnier every year.
After IASIP, be sure to check out THE LEAGUE’s opener as the titular group heads off to a fantastic location for their draft celebration. Along for the ride is Bengals’ WR Chad Ochocinco, because what’s a season premiere without a football star, am I right? As Jenny struggles to prove her worth in an attempt to join the league, Rafi shows up just long enough to gross everyone out just a little bit. Okay, a lot. The show is hit or miss for me, but the first two episodes certainly get better as they go. Give it a shot. If you’re into this kind of humor, you’ll like it. If not, no harm, no foul!
Will deifinitely watch “The League”, but not sold on “Always Sunny”–I’ve only seen the episode they showed at Comic-Con and I wasn’t impressed. As for the League, they could put any person on there and say they are a football star and I’d believe them–my sports knowledge is the same as J.D. from Scrubs–“they are good at that game that they play”.
