My Take on….the PSYCH summer finale
Tonight’s all new episode of PSYCH, the last new one we’re getting until it comes back on November 10, finds our favorite psychic detectives working with everyone’s favorite on-the-run lady, Franka Potente, playing a spy who is tasked by Juliet’s brother to find Shawn, and get him to help her, no matter what.
After the fantastic season that we’ve had so far, I was nervous going into the finale that we would some how be let down, and I’m happy to say that that is so not the case! Tonight’s finale is funny, and smart, and exciting, and shocking. Really shocking, and sweet. Potente is great; she’s always my favorite kind of woman-with-a-mysterious past, and I hope she continues to show up on my favorite shows here and there. Guest stars Nestor Carbonell and C Thomas Howell (yes, Pony Boy stops by), add another level of fun, and our main cast continues to knock it out of the park.
Tonight’s finale is self-contained, as all PSYCH episodes are, but it does a great job of moving the ongoing story along, and left me on the edge of my seat, wondering what might happen when the show returns in two months. Do yourself a favor and don’t miss the finale, especially the last ten minutes!
