What's On? Sunday, 1/17/10
Some fun stuff going on tonight! 24 and GOLDEN GLOBES – what are you watching?
ABC has a rerun of The EXTREME MAKEOVER: HOME EDITION – a wheelchair sports champion’s family is helped. Over on CBS, there’s a new episode of 60 MINUTES. NBC has THE GOLDEN GLOBES all night long, with host Ricky Gervais.
The special season premiere of HUMAN TARGET airs on FOX. Mark Valley plays Christopher Chance, a man unafraid to do what’s necessary to save the day. Chi McBride and Jackie Earle Haley star; Tricia Helfer guests. It is an action packed hour, filled with charm, smarts, technology, bombs, blackmail, and Tricia’s “through the teeth means it’s serious acting!” Definitely worth checking out.
ABC has an all new episode of DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES – Gaby and Susan are determined to find out if their kids are the smartest in their classes. Lynette won’t see a couples’ therapist, and Katherine is seeing a psychiatrist. CBS has an all new episode of COLD CASE dealing with the 1974 murder of a PI.
The 8th season premiere of 24 starts at 9 on FOX. Jack is back for another crazy day, with a rebuilt CTU, and a home base in NYC. Sounds, too, like Renee and now-Grandpa Jack are a little bit more than just friends! Freddie Prinze, Jr, Katee Sackhoff, Anil Kapoor, Mykelti Williamson, John Boyd, and Chris Diamantopolous join the cast! NBC continues with THE GOLDEN GLOBES. HBO has the second episode of BIG LOVE – Joey and Nicki want Bill to be the next prophet; Sarah makes a decision about her future, and Alby continues to pursue Dale.
ABC has an all new episode of BROTHERS AND SISTERS – Kevin and Scotty take further steps on the road of surrogacy to be parents. A repeat of NCIS airs on CBS – the one where Gibbs gets some news about Zive’s whereabouts. NBC has hour 3 of THE GOLDEN GLOBES. FOX programs into the 10PM hour on this very special occasion to bring us hour 2 of the special 4 hour, 2 night premiere of 24. I am so excited!
To round out the hour, you’ll find an all new episode of THE JACKSONS on A&E.
Plan to watch the Golden Globes tonight, and Human Target/24 and Desperate Housewives/Bros & Sis tomorrow morning sans commercials. I was so getting used to having time to catch up on TV on DVD/Blu, but now the new stuff is piling up! Perhaps I’ll try to watch Human Target during Golden Globe breaks.
